I Funded My Business With Bitcoin

Depending on what you think about cryptocurrency, this will either validate your beliefs or make you think I just got lucky.

I really think cryptocurrencies and crypto investors are going to make some big wins in the next few years.

In my metaphorical opinion, when so many people are in it, it’s pretty difficult to lose the war. We may lose battles, but we most definitely will win the war.

Disclaimer: None of what I will write about in this story is investment advice.

I might’ve just gotten really lucky.

I don’t do this for a living, and I am definitely a novice when it comes to investing of any sort.

To simplify: I just put money in and watch it go “BRRRRRR”

Now with that being said, listen to my tale.

From Full-Time Worker to Crypto Hunter

I used to work for a rental car company (usually the same cliche story of a college grad) and worked long hours at it.

I dreaded the intensity of it for a while because there were literally no breaks in the locations I worked at. Managing four simultaneously was the breaking point.

When you felt like your hair is turning grey at 20-something, you know it’s an issue.

It just so happened that I decided to go into their Truck Rental division and that’s where I had a little more freed-up time on my hands.

This led me to look at and invest in cryptocurrencies… mainly Bitcoin.

After months progressed… my coworkers didn’t know… I was a man of many talents. By day, I was a Truck Rental Account Specialist…. by lunch break, I was a crypto-fiend.

When my paychecks would come through, there were several occasions where I would put a large number of my earnings in Bitcoin. This was when it was around the $8,000 mark at the time.

This slowly added up to a few hundred… then in a few months, a couple thousand.

During this time, I always looked at crypto news. I read very optimistic articles and how BTC was the future.

…That is until it went from $12,000 to 8,000, and then to $2,000.

Everything changed then.

Articles were saying “it’s over.” or “we had a good run….” and it was very pessimistic.

It could be draining emotionally if all you saw was the perspective that the Bitcoin hype-train ended. In these dark moments, you truly realize who your true friends were.

You realize how many people would love to watch their friends, their loved ones, and the world burn with Bitcoin’s major “L”.

While my mind was telling me no… my gut feeling told me to invest more.

So I did.

This was the best decision I ever made… because after waiting a couple of months… Bitcoin blew up and then some.

“The Highest Bitcoin Has Ever Been”

Bitcoin rose to levels that have never been seen, they said.

A new age of crypto, they said.

This was when it was only around $16,000, mind you.

As I had aspirations to start a business my entire life, I took this win as a sign to quit my day job, and take an even bigger risk, in my opinion.

This led me to build an eCommerce beverage brand in the Health & Wellness space.

Thus, my brand, Reforged was born.

To The Future of Crypto

I sold a lot of my cryptocurrency a few years back when it was in the $15,000 mark. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if I kept it today?

Honestly, I don’t really regret it, because working on this business is one of the greatest experiences I’ve been given. But it would be pretty cool if I kept what I had in there and watched it explode.

Nonetheless, one of my favorite investments was putting “Vegas Money” in cryptos. I am a high-risk type of person, so the volatility of cryptocurrencies has always been an intrigue for me.

Today, I have my hands in the following cryptos: BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), XRP, DOT (Polkadot — keep your eyes on this one ;)), and THETA. I am monitoring these closely, and I hope to see some big wins from these.

While Bitcoin has tanked just a tad not too long ago (from the ~$60k to $49k… and now on the come up again), remember what your buddies and others might be saying about cryptocurrencies.

“See, I told you that you shouldn’t have put money in crypto.”

I still get this and see this all over my social media feeds.

I got this when it was $2,000. That’s a reasonable thing to say.

But $49,000? If you want to stay taking this loss, then take it buddy.

Most of us guys are going to be out here like DogeCoin was a few days ago — TO THE MOON! ;)

Ultimately, this is the message I wanted to convey to people who are new to investing in crypto:

  • I IMPLORE you to learn more about cryptocurrencies and make your decision as to whether or not you truly want to invest.
  • Start by throwing in a few bucks. Don’t throw in your life savings — just throw in a few hundred bucks if you’ve got it.
  • Don’t emotionally invest. When everything feels like it’s on fire, handle it like the meme below:
Be patient. Keep your eyes peeled. Make a desire whether or not to buy at the dip.
  • Be in the space. Surround yourself in groups that revolve around cryptocurrencies or find yourself following crypto Twitter pages. Being around people who are doing really well in the space will help you win as well.
  • Have a plan. What I learned from stocks is that you should have a plan in “what-if” scenarios: If it jumps to *insert dollar amount here*, I will buy*insert dollar amount here*. If it tanks to *insert dollar amount here*, I will sell *insert dollar amount here*.

Work hard, save, and invest responsibly.

To conclude, I do want to say I am learning as much as I can about probably one of the most boring but rewarding stock investment opportunities: dividend stocks.

If anyone is knowledgeable about this or any cryptocurrencies that I should take a look at, throw them in the messages below.

Thank you for reading my story, and if you like to hear more about the story in building my brand or anything else in particular (fitness and nutrition), let me know.

I am willing to share all.

Thank you again!
